Recommend the Best Alternative to Cyberlink PowerDVD for Mac (El Capitan/macOS Sierra) So what if we switched Windows to Mac and need to play 2D and 3D Blu-ray discs, 4K/1080p Blu-ray Movies and HD videos like MKV, Ultra HD 4K videos, AVCHD MTS content from disc or DVD VOB file on Mac (macOS Sierra) included? The current version is available in three editions: PowerDVD 16 Standard (DVD only), PowerDVD 16 Pro (Blu-ray playback) or PowerDVD 16 Ultra (Blu-ray 3D playback). Is PowerDVD on the Mac or a program similar?”Īs we know, CyberLink PowerDVD is a media player for Microsoft Windows providing DVD playback, with Blu-ray playback available in higher editions. Makes watching blurays much more enjoyable. I'm not sure what else to try here.“I use PowerDVD on my PC and love it’s layout and the amount of file types it supports. Since it happens with any 3D video file I have, I'm guessing there is some sort of refresh rate that is not in sync between the projector and the video driver. I tried changing the video driver to 24p to see if it made any difference and it didn't. This make the video viewing almost unbearable. I'm not sure what's happening, but every 30-45 seconds it stutters back a couple frames. It also sets the video driver to 23p refresh rate. PowerDVD changes my projector to 1080P 24FPS 3D mode, which I believe is correct as it does that for all 3D content. Playing back 3D side-by-side video files through PowerDVD has some stuttering that I believe is directly related to the refresh rate. Having said all the good news, I still have one issue: This means that when it is off (pass through to my projector), it correctly identifies basic audio capability, and when I turn it on, it correctly resets the audio and identifies all the Dolby/DTS features of my receiver! I think this is an issue many people have hit before.
